Load Columns
Extremely accurate and sensitive proving devices for the calibration and verification of the load measuring system of Concrete Compression Machines.
A column of high strength steel is put under load. The steel is compressed and the amount of compression or strain is measured. Each column has been individually calibrated against an NPL ( National Physical Laboratory) certified Column. Each column can be issued with a factory calibration certificate or an independent NPL certificate.
Range covers 500 – 10,000 Kn , standard height or 500- 5000 Kn squat size
Both analogue and digital gauge types available , supplied in a steel carry case
Factory , NPL, or External European Laboratory calibrations are offered in compression and/or tension to ISO and EN standards as required

These are accurate, robust and simple in operation. Suitable for the direct reading of both static and dynamic loads.

Compression Frame Stability Tester (Footemeter)
To BS 1881
This Strain Cylinder or Footemeter of 2000Kn capacity is designed to check the stability of Compression Load Frames. It consists of an accurately machined steel cylinder of appropriate capacity fitted with four balanced strain gauge bridges. Each Bridge is central at one of the ends of a pair of orthogonal diameters and is designed to be monitored by a separate panel meter on the digital readout supplied.The system can also be fitted with an internal electronic memory. Software is provided to analyze the data obtained during the test and to calculate the strain ratios. The system is calibrated and supplied with a UKAS certificate of calibration and compliance to BS 1881 –115
A smaller version, the Mini Strain Cylinder , is available to test compression load frames designed for cement mortar cubes.

A range of pneumatic, oil, water or vacuum operated Deadweight Testers is supplied to a selection of pressure ranges and accuracy together with required accessories.
